Facilities

Waverley is ideal for traditional family holidays.  A two-storey stone house built in the 1920s, it is two minutes’ walk from Portnoo harbour and has spectacular views over Iniskeel Island and Gweebarra Bay.

The house is cosy and has been gradually modernised, but it is still full of character, with wooden floors and many original fittings. Many visitors enjoy Waverley for its peace and quiet – there is no landline or television, but wifi is available and mobile reception is good.

Duvets, linen and towels are provided and are included in the rental.  Heating is by oil-fired central heating and an open fire in the living-room.

Dogs are welcome, subject to prior agreement.

Morgan’s shop and post office is a one minute walk away and stocks a very wide range of food and other supplies, including fresh meat, fish, fruit and vegetables, as well as newspapers, wine and beer.
